Classification of Copper Waste Recovery

       Among all metals, copper has good regeneration performance. Copper scrap is an important source of raw materials for copper industry. According to reports, 37% of world copper consumption in 1997 came from recycled copper.
       There are two types of copper scrap recovery according to its source.
       One is new copper scrap, which is produced in the production process of copper industry. The other is waste copper, which is discarded after use. Copper and copper-based materials can be recycled at all stages of the life cycle of the product, whether in a state or wrapped in the final product.
       The regeneration process is simple. First, the waste copper collected is sorted. No polluted copper scrap or copper alloy with the same composition can be directly used after melting back into the furnace; the heavily polluted copper scrap should be further refined to remove impurities; for the mixed copper alloy scrap, the composition of the scrap needs to be adjusted after melting. Because copper scrap can be regenerated, it has high value. For example, the price of clean grade 1 copper scrap can reach more than 90% of the price of new refined copper, and the price of new brass scrap can also reach more than 80% of the corresponding brass price. For copper products factories, the value of copper scrap has been increased because it can recover copper scrap in the production process, resulting in a significant reduction in enterprise costs.
